There is no need to drill the holes that low so the screw goes into the cabinet. Most cabinets have a lip that extends up and down so you can set the screw without going inside the cabinet. It might not matter on normal doors but it shows on glass doors-and in my opinion is poor craftsmanship to open your cabinets and see screws in them.

Me and my wife saved 1200 dollars on cabinet installation by watching your video. I watched the other do it yourself videos and decided to hire a pro because the videos sucked, then I happened upon your series. We used everything from the firring to finish screws you all talked about. I did the kitchen myself with as your dad would say my able bodied assistant (my wife) and had 1200 left over for flooring. Your dad is freakin awsome! Tell dad he saved the day for us!
