I agree laura. I met her in NewOrleans back in '91. She was buying a bag of coffee for her uncle. Cool lady. Very nice.

That's one hell of a wall of sound, trumped by a vocal that I couldn't reproduce in any studio if my life depended on it. I have been mesmerized by this song for years. The fact the video doesn't detract from the experience is even MORE amazing.

This song is just THE BEST!!! Are here any other songs by Concrete Blonde that are like this one? I've looked but not found any

If Johnette was any hotter she'd burst into flames.

Glad to see someone else who likes Concrete Blonde beyond their Joey and Wendy one-hits.

I'll always owe the friends who turned me on to Concrete Blonde. They've long since become one of my favorite bands ever, and far, far, far undervalued in general. The music is timeless and nearly impossible to pigeonhole. My only regret is that the one time I saw them in concert it was at a terrible venue with rotten acoustics and that dimmed the pleasure. Still, it's nice to say that, yeah, I've seen Concrete Blonde.
