@planetcheck The Corvette is one of the fastest american automobiles ever made. It competes with european super cars. The mustang is an overated american muscle car. The Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challanger are infinitely better than the mustang. The only reason that you see more mustangs on the road is because they're cheaper. The mustang is the poor man's Camaro.

@planetcheck There's a difference between enthusiasm and delusion. There is no plan on the Corvette to be discontinued, though it will receive a smaller engine putting out the same amount of horsepower in the C7 (next generation). Aside from that, the Mustang's also come with an automatic transmissions and paddle shifters are being considered for use in the 2011 Mustangs.That being said, if you want a fair Ford vs. GM comparison, you're much better off with the GT vs Corvette.

@8BALT True; from the original manufacturer, the top of the line 'Vette will outperform any Mustang put out by Ford of the same year. The SVT Cobra R came close in 2000, but fell slightly short and wasn't street legal.Of course, one could always point to aftermarket cars, such as the Shelby Super Snake, but that can be countered with something like the Lingenfelter 427 TT. Bottom line - Corvette > Mustang, always.

@planetcheck MUSTANG SUCKS BUTTHOLE. mustang is in league with the chevy camaro. the camaro is way better than the mustang. corvette is the king of the road!
